ABOUT ANNABEL'S BAZAAR
As an interior designer I have always loved bright colours and mixing textures and patterns to give the effect of a layered look that has evolved over time.
I make individual lampshades to use in my projects adding interesting prints and layering textiles to create rich interiors. I source beautiful handwoven silk and cotton ikat materials, hand block printed cottons and vintage Saris - each print unique in its own way with subtle differences created by the ancient and laborious block printing or loom weaving methods which give it unique charm and character.
Annabel's Bazaar began in 2019 following a visit to India where I saw first hand the intensive, perfectionist artisan skills required to produce every single print - each an individual work of art with characteristics unique to its hand made method. I buy very small print runs of each design so these lampshades are in really limited numbers - and I hope they will bring you much joy and create a truely beautiful splash of colour and design to light up your home.

I can make any shape/size shade from the above options in any of the fabrics shown on the website so please ask, if there is enough fabric left

At Annabel’s Bazaar we don’t follow hard and fast rules for choosing shapes and sizes of lampshades,
everyone has their own style but here are a few tips:
Before you order a new shade its worth trying out shades from your home to get an idea of the shape/size you ultimately are looking for – this really does help with gauging the proportions and will give you a good idea of the shape and size you like even if it isn’t quite right you will know you need smaller, bigger, taller, wider, plainer, gathered, more tapered etc,.
Always make sure the shade is tall enough to cover the lamp base fitting
Your shade will look best if it is wider than the widest part of the lamp
Tall ceilings and large rooms can carry bigger shades
Annabel’s Bazaar supply a reducer ring with every lampshade to make sure it will fit neatly on your lamp base or ceiling pendant.
For lampshades which sit on a shade carrier it is a very easy to lower or heighten the position of the shade by using a shorter/taller shade carrier.
